force feedback-worth it?
I hope this doesnt sound too noobish, but for AGES, ive been using non-force feedback wheels.
am i missing out?
i love my old momo, it was the red FF version, but through sheer usage its now a non FF with a homemade mod added to it.
it seems that if it came to a vote the DFP would beat the newer black momo wheel, but is it really worth the money just for force feedback.

i agree, i was chatting to a guy who races at a local level at castle coombe.
he reckons its a matter of time b4 someone is badly hurt or worse.
i think the drivers are encouraged to drive at this "standard", because the powers that run the BTCC want the "armchair wreck loving" public to watch this style of racing. thus giving them the tv ratings.

a technique that stirling moss used for real:
if a car was behind him and trying hard for a pass, he would sometimes let them by.
the reason being: he would then pressure that driver into making a mistake or overdriving and killing his tyres.

i agree with you keiran, but credit to all the drivers, they deseved their pay driving in conditions like that.

i met alonso when he was just starting to drive for minardi, when others were walking by him not knowing who he was. and yes, you can judge a person to a degree from a brief encounter, one being someone i was very fond of but totally destroyed my ideas of being a "hero"
but thats another story.

and yes, ive met him and he is a pleasent, nice guy who doesnt feel the need to cheat and thats why he is a worthy F1 champ.
alonso showed what a star he is by holding off schumi.........(surely, that H isnt needed!!!)

ages ago a mate was scrapping his nissan micra, so i had one of the front seats. i made a base from MDF, and along with my old momo wheel has given hours and hours of fun sim racing.
at work they still take the p*ss though!

no, its for a wheel.
my old red momo was knackered, so i stripped it and used the good parts to make a custom wheel. im still using the pedals as they work fine,

So whats the deal with renaults mass damper system?
why after a season and a half has it has suddenly become "illegal?"

i say drive whatever you want to drive.
its not the cars fault if something stupid happens, but the drivers.
so get in your mini/fiesta/micra/nova and dont hate the bigger vehicles, they pay their roadtax too (at least i hope they do)

I went on the sunday, and the morning was terrible. windy and wet, but it dried up by midday and turned out to be a great day.
i didnt take many photo's because the batteries in my camera died after a few shots...........and the spares were in my car, but i had gone in my mates!
lesson to learn there!!!!
i got a few people to sign my tshirt, a tasteful one i think!

i may do all 3 days next year....if you have not been yet, do it.its a fantastic event.
